Loved the cottage immensley. Lots to do and see, a pity there was no running creek
beds and the poor trees even looked a bit dusty. Went to Beltana - my old
all girls school camping trips really enjoyed seeing that. Went to the
Old Ghan Restaurant Hawker for tea - nice atmospher, plenty on plate.
Would come back to Windana again. Sunsets are worth seeing.

"Shadows fall across the distant mountain
Morning sunrise, new day dawns
stillness fills the cool air.
Gentle breeze across my face
Scattered clouds let blue sky in
Distant traveller, dusty clouds leaves behind
Gathered nature huddles close
Protection from the elements exposed
Magpie song breaks through
Distant trails will see me to
a new place discovered in gentle time
Windana dreaming peace shall find." Gen

Thank you for a wonderful place to rest and re-energise after a day exploring.

Fantastic stay - thank you so much Pat providing a much needed breakaway from the city
        - very tranquil, quiet and friendly - nowhere else would the local shop owner (Teagues)
ring around half the town to find someone prepared to give me a baby bottle teat. Hawker is a well kept secret.
and "Windana"  the prize jewel. We'll be recommending it to friends & family.

The barbeques A1
